Uganda’s U-19 National Rugby Team flew out last night to take part in the Rugby Africa 1A U-19 tournament in Harare, Zimbabwe scheduled for August 22-September 1.
The team received it’s kitty and last photo session at Kyadondo Rugby Club on Sunday evening before departing for their important assignment in Harare.
The team made of 24 players will play their first game on Wednesday with Namibia and a win will guarantee them a meeting between the winner of the game between Zimbabwe and Kenya.
“We are confident of this team and I believe we shall return victorious,” Robert Bwali, the team manager said. “We only have to win two games and we qualify for the U-19 Rugby World Cup in 2016.”
The team will be accompanied by Dennis Etuket (coach), Benjamin Temper (Team Doctor) and Robert Bwali (Team Manager).
