Lightweight boxer Sharif “Lion” Bogere, maintained his top five position in the Ring magazine ratings at number 4 in the 135 pounds limit for the 44th week in their latest listings for the month of August.
The latest listings have World Boxing Association World lightweight champion Cuban Richar Abril at number 1 and has been at the top for weeks on the list for 50 weeks.
Venezuela’s Jorge Linares is number 2 while Mexico’s Miguel Vazquez is number 4 in the Ring Magazine listings.
The Ring magazine is reputable magazine that has reknown boxing writers and columnists that create their own rankings in all the weight divisions in the professional game of boxing, they also have an elite “Pound for Pound” list.
Bogere is just coming off a no contest bout recently against Mexican Daniel “Canerito” Ruiz thus keeping his boxing record intact at 27-1(19 KOs).
The Las Vegas professional who is promoted by Golden Boy Promotions is ranked outside the top ten in the World Boxing Organisation lightweight rankings at number 11.
Bogere is expected to challenge for a world title later in the year.
