Uganda Premier League side, Soana Football Club has completed the signing of silky but stocky midfield gem, Steven Bengo.

The club director, Smart Obedi confirmed the development to Kawowo Sports on Thursday;

We have signed Steven Bengo. The entire Soana family welcomes him because he is a great addition to the club

Bengo has been a free agent since being released by Sports Club Villa at the close of the 2014/15 season.

Bar his temperamental and suspect disciplinary record, Bengo arguably ranks among the most skilled and exciting players in the country at the moment.

Blessed with a great first touch,  the diminutive play maker is also an awesome dribbler of the ball and has the mastery of the dead ball execution given all distances.

His blemish side lies along his bad temper and at one many too times, the disrespect to the oppositional players, match officials alike.

Soana F.C coach, Charles Ayiekoh Lukula reasons Bengo needs guidance to get the best out of him;

I have personally counseled him. I consulted a number of local coaches before his signing and all hailed his talent though they cautioned on how best to manage him. He has to respect training session.

Bengo started his career with SC Villa Jogoo (SC Villa’s junior side) before he graduated to the senior side.

He had a short lived spell in Tanzania with Yanga Africans before he returned back home and featured for KCCA F.C and finally back to his parent club – SC Villa.

His first task at Soana F.C started with immediate effect when he made a second half appearance in the place for Kamada Ssebagala in the club’s 8-0 massive victory over FUFA Big League side, Artland Katale F.C.
