In a bid to bolster their squad for the Uganda Premier League second round, Lweza Football Club added former Express forward, Emmanuel Kalyowa on the earlier five recruits they had secured.

Kalyowa’s paper work was completed on the final day of the secondary transfer window on Sunday.

The club Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Moses ‘Jaja Moze’ Ssenyonga confirmed the development to Kawowo Sports;

We have also signed Emma (Kalyowa) from Express.

Ssenyonga could not disclose the final details of the deal because of the contractual clauses embedded therein but he confirmed the deal will last for two years.

Kalyowa’s acquisition brings the number of new players at the Kajjansi based club to six.

The club had agreed terms with Juma Balinya, Paddy Muhumuza, Michael Kabanda, Sula Bagala and Mustafa Nsereko (Alimunsi).

Departures from the club:

Lweza F.C lost talisman Mike Sserumaga and left back Farouk Musisi to Sports Club Villa as well as youngster Yoweri Kisakye and Sadala Ddumba.

Friendly matches:

The club has so far played two friendly games in the mid season and winning both of them.

On Liberation day, they overcame Kireka United 4-1 and defeated Artland Katale at Mashariki play ground last Saturday.

They are expected to play another build up with Entebbe F.C on Tuesday, 2nd February 2016 at Kajjansi.
