Uganda Rugby Premiership defending champions Heathens have been included among the teams that will play in the inaugural Great Lake 10 aside rugby tournament slated for March 26-27 in Homabay, Kenya.

The outfit has been listed alongside Mongers and the duo are the only Uganda representatives, coupled with Tanzania’s Arusha Rhinos for the two-day showpiece.

Egerton, Kabarak, Multimedia, Mt. Kenya University, JKUAT, Brumbies, USIU, Catholic Monks, Homabay, Kisii, Maseno University, Kericho RFC, Webuye RFC and Kenya Methodist University are the other teams also vying for the top prize.

Heathens come off a tough hurdle after digging deep on Saturday to defeat Buffaloes 33-20 in the premiership. Mongers who traveled to Gulu came back in the perfect mood following their 12-38 victory.

Kobs who thrashed Herbert Wafula’s Rhinos 52-09 are still top of the log with 30 points while Heathens are second with 27,  Pirates, 33-00 winners over University side Impis third on 26.
