Kenya number eight Joshua Chisanga is likely to join top English Premiership side, Newcastle Falcons if he impresses in a trial to be done later this week.

The star who has been very influential for the Homeboyz RFC and the Kenya national team is expected to continue studies in Newcastle while playing for the club in case all goes well.

“Chisanga left for Newcastle Falcons on Friday and has undergone a series of medical tests. We are informed he has passed all tests and next for him is on field training. We just want to wish him all the best in the week-long trials,” Homeboyz Headcoach Paul Murunga told The Star.

“It is an important move for him as he can play his game as well as study. He is one player I have no doubt will make it out there,” he added.

Homeboyz say they will miss his leadership if he completes the move to the UK based side.

“We will certainly miss his leadership. He had the authority as a captain and that is one thing you do not find in all players.”

Chisanga will join Uganda’s duo Benon Kiiza and Phillip Pariyo who also hail from East Africa and play Rugby in Europe.
