After the final game of the 2016 National 7s championship on Saturday, tournament organisers were left with the task of awarding the most excelling player throughout the five circuits that were held across different venues.
Ordinarily, there should be only one MVP.
Someone who has done things beyond the ordinary, one who has scored or created the most tries etc. But, this time round, two MVPs were selected.
Kobs’ scrum half Adrian Kasiito and Heathens’ wingers Lawrence Sebuliba were selected as joint MVPs.
They shared between themselves Shs500,000U which was meant for one person.
As if that wasn’t enough, the organisers also handed just one medal to the two players.
Kasiito was pivotal in Kobs’ run to their title defence while Sebuliba, who was actively involved with the Rugby Cranes, missed the first two circuits of the championship.
