Record league champions SC Villa on Wednesday boosted their squad with two new additions.
The two are Burundian international Fuadi Ndayisenga and Brazilian Tiago Franc Lino Alves who join from Kenya’s Sofapaka and Brazil’s Icasa FC respectively.
The duo was unveiled at Villa Park, Nsambya by club president Ben Immanuel Misagga who also revealed they have penned a one year renewable deal.
Speaking to Kawowo Sports, Ndayisenga who has also previously played for Rwanda’s Kiyovu and Rayon Sport said he wants to repay SC Villa’s faith and take them back to where they belong – top.
“It’s a pleasure to sign for such a big club,” he stated. “Without doubt, it’s the biggest club in the region and with the faith vested in me, I want to repay their faith by working hard to take them back to the top,” he said.
The attacking midfielder has also previously played for Vital’O in his native and APR in Rwanda.
Meanwhile, not much is known about 26 year old Tiago who is confortable as a winger on either side (left or right) but video clips on YouTube showed he can beat his man with ease and also has a knack for scoring goals.
“I am right footed but loves to play on the left and cut in inside,” he said before revealing it’s his first time in Africa.
Tiago and Ndayisenga are expected to make their debut for Deo Sserwadda’s men on Saturday against Lweza at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.
Sina Jerome, Musa Balou also training with Jogoos
Meanwhile, former Police (Rwanda) striker Sina Jerome and Ivorian Musa Balou are also training with the Blues.
It remains to be seen whether they will also pen deals at the 16 time league champions since they are under the same manager, Gibby Kalule, a Ugandan ex-International who prominently played for Police in the 90s.
Kalule is also the agent of Haiti International Lionel St. Preux who played at Azam in the 2014 CECAFA Kagame Cup in Rwanda.
