Uganda Cranes striker Yunus Sentamu played 84 minutes in Ilves Tampere’s 2-1 away victory against Kups Football Club in the Finnish Premier League (Veikkausliiga) on Wednesday.

After a goalless first half, Oma Maali put the home side a head in the 54th minute.

Mikael Soisalo cancelled the lead with a beautifully taken 69th minute penalty before Lauri Ala Myllymaki grabbed the winner with five minutes left on the clock and give the visitors the precious three points in the bag.

A minute before Myllymaki had scored the winning goal, Sentamu had been withdrawn for Marco Matrone.

Ilves will host Kemi in the next league match at home in Tampere city.

This was Sentamu’s third match since leaving Kampala on 6th September 2016 after being part of the Uganda Cranes’ team that qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon, for the first time in 38 years.

He is also among the 30 players summoned for the international friendly match against Togo on 4th October 2016 and the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier agaist Ghana.
