Four time Uganda Ladies Golf Open winner Flavia Namakula looks destined for a 5th crown goiing to the final day of the 2016 championship.

By the close of business on day two at the Uganda Golf Club course in Kampala, Namakula had captured the lead from the day one leader, Irene Nakalembe.

Namakula, playing off handcap one carded a course 1-over par score of 73 gross to counter her opening day 78 score, to take a five stroke lead.

Over the two rounds, Namakula leads on 151 gross in 36 holes with Nakalembe on 156 gross.

Namakula had birdie scores on holes 8 and 18 with bogies on 6, 11, 16 as she maintained par scores throughout the course

Kenya’s Agnes Nyakio closely follows with 157. Tanzanian lady golfer, Iddi Madina is on 159.

Three golfers jointly tie on 172 – Petra Nalwoga, Evah Magala and Anne Abeja.

The gallery on day two was closely kept at bay with the pressure group that had Madina, Nakalembe, Namakula & Nyakio.

Some of the outstanding performers on Day 2 were; Namakula, Petra Nalwoga and Anne Abeja.

The final day comes on Saturday where a total of 46 lady golfers took part in the Castle Lite sponsored event.
