Justine Okeny, father to two Uganda national football team internationals, Moses Oloya and Jimmy Kidega has died.

Okeny was confirmed dead on Thursday night after being admitted at Galaxy International Hospital in Walukuba, Jinja.

He is father to Kidega who once played for the Uganda Cranes and Oloya, an active member who was part of the team that broke the 38 year old jinx of not qualifying to the AFCON finals.

Heartfelt condolences all over the world have extended to the grieved family ahead of the burial which will be confirmed.

Lavender Pai‎, a football fan based in Thailand conveyed his message of sympathy to the family;

My heart felt condolences to you and your family. You have ro be strong. For me in Thailand , we just loss the great father. We are also in period of losing.

But everything have to go on.

Mukhooli Bamu added; 

It is not easy to find the right words to comfort you in such a time but know I am with you and the entire family in grief and sorrow as we mourn the passing on of our beloved papa.
