When Heathens confront Kobs this Friday at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds, it will be a game that could paint clear picture of how the title race is going to look like in the next few months.

Heathens are 5 points ahead of the defending champions but know that anything but a win will have their arch rivals right back into the title race.

“We shall treat the Kobs game like a final because it will determine how we progress for the title contention,” center Michael Wokorach told Kawowo Sports.

The Kyadondo outfit is yet to lose a game this season and have been in great form unlike their rivals who had a poor run of form at the start of the season.

“The season is competitive and all teams are unpredictable,” Wokorach, who has only played one game because of his rendezvous with the national sevens team at the HSBC World Series, added.

With 33 points gathered from the first 7 games of the season, Heathens are enjoying the summit and could create an even bigger gap at the top with a win over second placed Kobs.

Kobs, now under Edmund Tumusiime, have the chance of reducing the gap and will want to keep Heathens within touching distance.

The trio of Philip Wokorach, Michael Wokorach and Lawrence Ssebuliba will be expected to now concentrate on guiding Heathens to silverware after their exploits at the HSBC Series in Dubai and Cape Town.

For Kobs, Ramathan Govule, Alhadji Manano and Adrian Kasiito have all returned to the team.

Heathens have won all their opening 7 games and have only missed bonus points on 2 occasions while Kobs have already faltered and lost to Rhinos.
