Three days after a humiliating 7-0 at the hands of KCCA, Onduparaka visit on form Police FC at Nakivubo stadium on Tuesday afternoon.

The visitors come into the game seeking a return to winning ways after that humbling loss on Saturday but in Police, they face another daunting task.

Speaking ahead of the clash, Police Coach Abdallah Mubiru who has overseen five wins in as many games since taking charge at the club is wary of the threat posed by the Caterpillars’ crowd but says they have the capacity to handle them.

“We shall go into the game to try as much as possible to get maximum points,” said Mubiru. “They are very competitive and create an environment most of our players are not used to – that fan base,” he added.

Most of the players here are used to playing with empty stands and face a challenge in such environment.

Mubiru, who lost to Onduparaka 1-0 away from home with Vipers doesn’t believe losing 7-0 to KCCA gives his side an edge going into the game insisting they will come out better and guns blazing.

I am looking at the game very different from one they played against KCCA. We are not champions like KCCA, we are different components and composition and having conceded seven, they must have tried to rectify the errors and will want to give their fans some joy. It’s going to be a very hard game but we are prepared him.

Against the reigning champions, The Caterpillars missed striker Muhammad Shaban (suspension) and his return is expected to change the thinking of all players around home and Mubiru is fully aware of that.

He is good, motivates everyone on the pitch is always fighting to get a goal but we have a plan for him and we have planned for not only him but the whole team. With and without, Onduparaka looks a very different team.

Team News

The Cops welcome midfielder Hakim Ssenkumba from suspension after he missed the 2-1 win over Soana in Kavumba on Friday but Rauben Kimera is out with a groin.

Defender Ibrahim Kibumba trained well with the team on Monday and it remains to be seen on whether he will make the starting XI.

Besides Shaban, Onduparaka welcome back striker Ceaser Okhuti to the side after missing the game against KCCA since he is on loan.

A win for the hosts will see them move to 5th on the log while Onduparaka will close in on second placed SC Villa with victory.
