The Federation of Kenya Football (FKF) has confirmed Nyayo stadium as the host venue for the international friendly between the Harambee Stars and Uganda Cranes.

The international friendly was confirmed on Tuesday but question marks remained on where it will be hosted with both stadiums undergoing renovation in preparation for the 2018 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) finals.

“As of now, the friendly against Uganda and that with DR Congo will be played at Nyayo,” said a FKF Official. “The ongoing renovations at Moi International stadium, Kasarani mean we can’t host matches there.”

The two neighboring countries face off on March 22 before the Kenyan team take on DR Congo four days later.

Harambee Stars played against both teams away from home last year winning 1-0 in Kisansha and drawing goalless at Namboole.

Uganda Cranes last played at the venue in 2013 during the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup but did so against Kenya in the 2012 AFCON qualifier in a match that ended goalless.
