
Second from bottom Uganda Premier League side Kirinya Jinja SS has indefinitely suspended seven players, the club has confirmed.
The culprits are guilty of ‘loose talk’ and absenteeism from training according to the statement released by the club.
“Today (Friday) *KJSSFC* management has given indefinite suspension to 7 players from the squad because of the following reasons; (1) Loose talk (2) Indiscipline cases like absenteeism from training and negative talk against the club and their fellow players..” read part of the statement released by the club Public Relations Officer, Paul Kalumba.
These players include (1) Cesar Sapeo (Striker) (2) Mukasa Jolly Joram (Central defender) (3) Madondo Joel (Striker) (4) Opolot Joseph (Attacking Midfielder) (5) Kigozi Frederick (Left Full back) (6) Mbowa Solomon (GK) and (7) Baise Anthony.
None of the players in question could be reached for a comment but the club insists they are serving a suspension and not released.
These players have not been released but given indefinite suspension by the club.
The Students have had an abysmal maiden top flight campaign and sit 15th on the 16-team log with 17 points after 21 games and on the brink of relegation.
