Ugandan goalkeeper Mathias Kigonya missed a penalty for Sofapaka but Sam Ssimbwa’s side earned their first win of the 2017 Kenya Premier League with a 3-1 victory over Western Stima in Kisumu.

In the only game of the day in the league, Humphrey Okot, Charles Okwemba and Ezekiel Okare scored for the visitors at the astro turf pitch, Moi International stadium.

Fredrick Nyarombo’s strike for Western Stima turned out to be a consolation.

Batoto Ba Mungu, who were only reinstated in the league last week had Ugandans James Kasibante, Johnson Bagoole and Peter Wanok all feature as they now move to 8th on the log with 3 points.
