As earlier predicted on Kawowo Sports 4 days ago, Uganda Cranes has improved in the latest FIFA rankings released on Thursday, 1st June 2017 in Zurich, Switzerland.

It is a one slot improvement from 72nd to 71st for the CECAFA leading football nation with 478 points.

Kenya improves by 4 places as they are now ranked 74th with 463 points.

Uganda Cranes’ next opponents in the international friendly match on Saturday, Ethiopia drops one place to 125th with 265 points.

Senegal, who will face Uganda on Monday, 5th June 2017 improve by three places to 27th out of the 211 FIFA member nations.

Uganda’s Group L opponents in the AFCON 2019 qualifiers, Cape Verde Islands drop three places to 84th with 418 points.

Meanwhile Lesotho and Tanzania are 140th and 139th respectively. Lesotho rose  by 9 places to 140th with 190 points as Tanzania falls by four places.

Other CECAFA Members:

Rwanda slips 10 places to 128th, Tanzania (139), South Sudan (147), Burundi (148), Sudan (158) and Djibouti (195).

Eritrea and Somalia share a joint 206th place with Tonga, Gibratar and Bahamas.

Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Chile and Colombia maintain the respective top 5 positions in the world.

The next rankings will be released on 6th July 2017.
