AFCON 2019 Qualifiers (Group L):
- Tanzania 1-1 Lesotho

Tanzania played to a 1-1 draw with Lesotho at the national stadium in Dar es Salaam in the opening game of the 2019 AFCON qualifier on Sunday evening.
Striker Mbwana Samata, who features for Belgian side Genk gave the home team the lead after 28 minutes to ignite wild celebration at the fully packed Stadium.
Seven minutes later, they lost the advantage when FC Andorra forward Thapelo Tale found the equalizer against the run of play.
Efforts by either sides to find the match winner proved futile with defensive approach and near misses.
The other Group L match between Cape Verde and Uganda in Pria, West Africa was pushed ahead by 24 hours following the delay by Uganda to connect from Senegal, Dakar to Cape Verde.
The game was thus pushed to Sunday, June 11, 2017.
Match day two will come on 23rd March 2018 when Uganda Cranes host Tanzania at Mandela National stadium, Namboole in Kampala.
Meanwhile, on the same day, Lesotho shall be home to entertain Cape Verde Islands.
