Newly promoted Uganda Premier League side, Mbarara City Football Club has signed their third player in the primary transfer window.

Tried and tested central defender Asuman Harishe ‘Alishe’ Kihogo inked a one and half year employment contract.

“Mbarara City Football Club is an ambitious team with a great management so I can’t wait to get stuck in,” Alishe, who is set to play at his 8th club in Uganda stated.

The kingpin defender has previously featured at 7 different Ugandan clubs.

He started his footballing journey at Mbarara based Biharwe, before switching sides to Sports Club Victoria University, Sports Club Villa, Uganda Revenue Authority, Vipers, Lweza and recently BUL in Jinja.

He also had a professional stint at IFK Åmål in Sweden.

Mbarara city assistant coach Nasibu Ndita is grateful of central defender’s timely arrival.

He has all of the mental, physical, technical and tactical attributes the club wanted. Asuman is a player I believe will make an immediate impact in the Premier League, thanks to his physicality, experience and game reading.

Kihogo is the third new signing for the club christened as the Ankole Lions.

He joins Congolese winger Swed Satugombo and former Mbarara FC right back Saidi Byekwaso.
