CHAN 2018 Qualifiers

Seven KCCA Football Club players will join the Uganda Cranes team training on Monday ahead of the CHAN 2018 qualifiers against South Sudan.
The 7 players are; defenders Paul Musamali, Timothy Dennis Awany and Isaac Muleme who are joined by Muzamir Mutyaba, Paul Mucureezi, Geoffrey Sserunkuma and Derrick Nsibambi.
These were all part of the team that lost 4-0 away to FUS Rabat in Morocco during the CAF Confederation Cup.
Missing on the team is right back Dennis Okot Oola and goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan, who has of late struggled with an injury.
Vipers midfielder Moses Waiswa has been also summoned to the team that resumes training on Monday evening at Namboole after
Head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic released 5 players from the team that lost 1-0 to Western region select side at the Kabale Municipal stadium. Erisa Ssekisambu, Julius Malingumu, Solom Okwalinga, Simon Sserunkuma and left footed midfielder Bassey Methodius were all released.
Veteran striker Geoffrey Sserunkuma will be skipper of the team and will be assisted by Vipers captain Nico Wakiro Wadada and SC Villa’s Bernard Muwanga.
Uganda will be away for the first leg against South Sudan this Friday, July 14 in Juba.
The return leg will be played on 22nd July, 2017 at Lugogo in Kampala.

Goalkeepers: Isma Watenga, Tom Ikara and Ken Saidi.
Defenders: Wadada Nico, Timothy Awanyi, Muwanga Bernard, Kabugo Savio, Toha Rashid, Musamali Paul and Adiriko John.
Midfielders: Deus Bukenya, Nicholas Kasozi, Muzamil Mutyaba, Tom Masiko, Moses Waiswa, Paul Mucurezi, Muleme Isaac, Kizza Martin, Majwega Brian and Kagimu Shafiq.
Strikers: Geoffrey Serunkuma, Derrick Nsibambi, Nelson Sekantuka, Shaban Muhammad and Karisa Milton.
