When the Uganda Cranes players left the African Bible University in Lubowa along the busy Kampala – Entebbe Highway, most of them were relaxed.

With ear devices attached to their music gadgets, majority, if not all were calm for the 30 minute journey to Entebbe International Airport.

The delighted team players and officials completed the required immigration process by 10 a.m at the departures zone of the airport.

They flew to Juba with high hopes and expectations in the first leg encounter that will be played at Juba stadium on Friday.

Team skipper Geoffrey Sserunkuma was optimistic ahead of the task at hand.

“We have trained well. Our bodies and minds are set for the away game. I trust the confidence and teamwork from my fellow teammates,” Sserunkuma said.

Sserunkuma’s teammate at KCCA, Isaac Muleme harbours the same thought and confidence.

“Personally, I have not played in South Sudan but I’m sure we shall play a complete unit and register a decent away victory,” Muleme stated.
