Sharing Youth made sure they atleast complete the first round of the National Basketball League with a similar record as UPDF Tomahawks.

A strong first half proved to be the difference for Sharing (3-7) in the 63-57 win over Tomahawks on Wednesday night at Lugogo Indoor Stadium.

Tong Gatwech and Emmanuel Okumu propelled Sharing to a strong start winning the opening quarter 16-12 and the second 12-10.

Sharing Youth maintained the lead through the last two quarters though they both ended square 21-21 and 14-14.

Gatwech scored team high 19 points and Okumu contributed 11 points and picked 12 rebounds.

Henry Okoth had game high 31 points and picked 9 rebounds in a losing effort for Tomahawks (3-8). Felix Mukunzi added 12 points and 14 rebounds.
