2017/18 UPL Season (Opening fixtures) – 12th September 2017:
- Bright Stars Vs Vipers – Champions Stadium
- Bul Vs Mbarara City – Kakindu Stadium, Jinja
- KCCA vs Maroons – Lugogo Stadium, Kampala
- Masavu Vs Police – Fisheries Training Institute play ground, Bugonga
- Onduparaka Vs Proline – Green Light Stadium
- SC Villa Vs Soana – Masaka Recreational Stadium, Masaka
Wed, 13th September 2017:
- Express Vs Kirinya Jinja S.S – Mutesa II Wankulukuku
- URA vs UPDF – Mandela National Stadium
The Uganda Premier League secretariat has on Wednesday evening released the opening fixtures of the 2017/18 season.
The league will kick off on Tuesday 12th September 2017 with six games on the menu.
Bright Stars hosts Vipers at the Champions Stadium in Mwererwe, New comers Mbarara City kick off the campaign away from home to BUL in Jinja at the Kakindiu stadium.
League champions, KCCA open the campaign and title defence at home against Maroons.
Masavu will entertain Police at the Fisheries Training Institute play ground in Bugonga and crowd pullers Onduparaka kick off at home to Proline in Arua.
The last game on the day will see Sports Club Villa play Soana at Masaka Recreational stadium.
The following day, there will be two games on the menu. Express will play Kirinya Jinja S.S at Wankulukuku whilst URA will be at home to Moses Basena’s UPDF at their new home, Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
The new football season kicks off on 9th September 2017 with the FUFA Super Cup between double champions KCCA and last year’s Uganda Cup losing finalists, Paidha Black Angels.
