- Masavu 1-0 BUL

Forward Ddumba Sadala struck the lone strike of the day in Masavu’s 1-0 victory against BUL during match day 11 of the Uganda Premier League at the Fisheries Training Institute play groun on Saturday evening.
Sadala composed himself to drill the ball home from the penalty spot on 74 minutes after a wild lunge by goalkeeper Hannington Ssebwalunyo on crafty striker Abraham Ndugwa.
As Ssebwalunyo dived to his left, Sadala placed the ball the opposite direction for the match winner, well applauded by the small home crowd.
The goal was the first for Masavu at home in 11 games played in their third victory of the campaign overall.
BUL’s defender William Otong and Masavu midfielder Veron Ddamba were the cautioned players in the game that had less goal scoring opportunities.
Hamis Tabita was a threat for Masavu in the opening stanza and Sadala came close to scoring.
Ndugwa also had a chance to bury off the game when he perfectly rounded the goalkeeper but his dipping shot only settled above the net as the game neared its climax.
BUL suffered a first half injury, barely 15 minutes into the game when Yunus Sibira limped out for Patrick Sembuya.
The victory is a relief for the Masavu coaching duo of Alex Gitta and former Uganda Cranes international Joseph Mutyaba.
For the overall contribution and authority to the game, Masavu captain Ndugwa was named the man of the match, a new initiative started by the Uganda Premier League in conjunction with Fortbet.
He was awarded a glittering trophy, bling chain, shirt, cap and Shs. 100,000.
The prizes were handed over to Ndugwa by former Uganda Cranes striker Noordin Jjuuko after the match.

In 11 games played, Masavu has now collected 10 points but remain embedded in the relegation zone in 14th place above BUL and UPDF.
On the other side of the coin, it is more intense pressure for Kefa Kisala at BUL after their 6th loss of the season, the third consecutive following earlier defeats away to Bright Stars and SC Villa in Jinja.
