Kutchi Tigers defeated Tornado Bee by 5 wickets in a quarterfinal clash that was very interesting for the fans. They managed to chase down 179 with 8 balls to spare to make it to the semifinal where they will face KICC.
KICC on the other hand survived a scare from Kampala Pirates to scrap through to the semifinals by 8 runs and will need to bat better if they are to defeat a determined Kutchi Tigers.
Kutchi Tigers who are missing some key players were able to rally with the available players but KICC is the side that stopped their 17 game unbeaten streak in the group rounds.
KICC are still without regular captain Hanumant Kathkar who is in India but stand in captain Frank Nsubuga is hopeful they can go all the way. He will have national team captain Davis Karashani to count on with youngsters Sirajje Nsubuga and Zephaniah Katungi also waiting to chip in.
Kutchi Tigers will be looking for their first local title and skipper Alpesh Hirani thinks as much they are not favorites compared to Damani or Challengers they can be able to shock a few as long as they show up.
We are not favorites and I am proud of my boys who have managed to win even without some of our main players. We will give our best as usual on Sunday and hopefully we can win.
