Hours after the sacking Augustine Nsumba, Elgon Group FUFA Big League side Kyetume has announced the appointment of former Uganda Cranes star Livingstone Mbabazi as their head coach on Friday.

The move was confirmed by the Kyetume PRO, Julius Kabanda;
Mbabazi (Livingstone) is now head coach at Kyetume Football Club after the departure of Augustine Nsumba. He will handle the club up-to the end of the season.
The former KCCA (Uganda), Esperance (Tunisia), ASEC Mimosa (Ivory Coast), St Patrick Athletic (Ireland) and Uganda Cranes midfielder was weeks ago suspended indefinitely by Arua based side Onduparaka after a series of unconvincing results before his immediate assistant Simeon Masaba took charge.
Mbabazi brings a wealth of experience to the Big League debutant side having previously coached Masavu in the Big League, URA (as assistant to Kefa Kisala) and later Onduparaka.
He is best known for his hands on approach of coaching style, motivation talk sessions albeit a few personal solvable challenges that can easily be dealt with.
By the time of Nsumba’s departure, Kyetume had lost seven games, drawn four and won eight matches with 28 points and they lie in 5th place on the 13 team log.
Mbabazi is expected to handle Kyetume until the end of the season with the first stern test away from home to fast improving JMC Hippos on Thursday, 12th April 2018.
Kyetume has a realistic chance to make the two promotional playoff slots, lest qualify in the direct position as leader if ill fate befalls the clubs above them.
