In less than a fortnight, a third tactician in the Uganda Premier League has lost his job.

James Odoch’s tenure at Western Uganda based outfit Nyamityobora Football Club came to an abrupt end on Sunday, 25th November 2018 following a humbling 6-1 loss at the hands of 12 time league winners Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) F.C.

He follows in the foot steps of Asaph Mwebaze (Onduparaka) and Moses Basena (Sports Club Villa).

“I have decided to resign my job as head coach at Nyamityobora F.C having discussed with the club director Ali Ssekatawa. I wish the club the best in the league” Odoch who has also handled Jinja Municipal Council and URA told Kawowo Sports.

Moments after the heavy defeat at Lugogo, Odoch told the media during the official post-match press conference that he was unfazed by the situation but rather concerned about the appalling results.

An hour later, he vividly confessed to Kawowo Sports having resigned his position.

I have decided to resign. The decision came moments after the embarrassing loss to KCCA. The playing staff I have has not got the backing expected from management. It puts me in a big fix. I wish the club the very best.

The former Uganda Cranes, Sports Club and Express winger had handled Nyamityobora since the FUFA Big League days.

Odoch’s decision had also followed rants on twitter by the Club Chairman Ben Immanuel Misagga concerning the choice of coach and overall performance by the club.

Some people expect me to clap and proceed with laughter because a coach has lost 6 games, draw once and one win. Am a winner and achiever, then this is not place. 6-1, this is unacceptable

Ben Immanuel Misagga, Nyamityobora Football Club Chairman

In eight matches played so far, Nyamityobora F.C has managed just one win, the 2-1 victory against nemesis entity Mbarara City in the Ankole derby that was staged on a neutral Mutesa II Wankulukuku stadium.

There also played to a draw with Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) and the other six games have been losses.

Misagga has since promised to name Odoch’s successor in three day’s time.

Odoch can not match nyamityobora FC technical works, within three days we shall give Nyamityobora another person who can measure to the challenge, I DONT GROOM COACHES, Nyamityobora is not a learning process for coaching
