Vipers SC have confirmed the signing of Innocent Wafula from Kenya Premier League champions, Gor Mahia.

The winger cum right back has penned a three year deal but the transfer fees for the first January signing hasn’t been disclosed.

Wafula was unveiled on Sunday at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende and he immediately showed delight in joining the club.

“I am, of course, delighted and very proud to be joining Vipers SC,” he told the club’s website. “I’m very happy to be here and to be Venom. I really felt that the club wanted me to come,” he added.

I will give my best on the pitch, and hopefully be a very good player for this team.

The former Chemelil Sugar who was first linked with the move to Vipers way back in August is anxious to fit in a very talented team.

The team has very talented players and it is a pleasure for me to be part of such a set up. I therefore will work hard to fit in easily.

He joins the club at a time when they are struggling to impress on the pitch, second on the log with 26 points, seven adrift of log leaders KCCA who have played two more games.
