Duncan ‘Kikankane’ Mubiru will give his Subaru GVB another outing in Masaka.

The Subaru he acquired in 2018 has been on the stads for the past seven months. Its last outing was in September last year.

With high expectations from the car, Mubiru has consistently been let down on all but one of its outings in the Kenya Safari rally last year.

“The GVB is back in shape. We gave it whatever was lacking and we expect it to run very well in Masaka.

“We decided to put the N14 aside and concentrate on the cars we have now. We can not point at a specific position in Masaka but all I know we shall be their to compete,” said Mubiru.

Despite the collection of cars, Mubiru has failed to become a formidable challenger to the title.

He has also recently added a Mitsubishi EvoX R4 formerly owned by Desh Kananura to his car list.

“The Evo is not ready. We also wish to use  it but its still not in the right shape. We need to do lots of things to the car before we can be sure of its contention,” added.

Mubiru and co-driver Musa Nsubuga are currently in ninth position with 50 points; 110points behind NRC leader Ronald Sebuguzi.
