Ponsiano Lwakataka will be aiming to make it two wins in a row in Masaka this weekend.

The third round of the championship will be staged in the two time NRC champion’s backyard.

“I am only waiting for them at my home grounds and battle for the victory,” he anxiously said.

Lwakataka was imperious at the same event last year posting the fastest time in several stages.

And his prospects have changed since.

Lwakataka is now looking to build on his pace after what was an impressive drive in his newly acquired Subaru N12B in Mukono rally last month. He finished fourth overall.

“I believe have adopted to the car very well. Mukono rally was for learning, now Masaka is serious business for victory,” said Lwakataka.

Lwakataka is currently eighth on the NRC standings with 60 points. Maximum points from Masaka will be a big push in his contention for this year’s title.

Samuel Mugisha will again call the notes as they attempt to defend their Masaka rally.
