
Bright Stars FC may have finished eighth but this is their best campaign in the league since gaining promotion in 2013 according to statistics.
The Kawempe based despite having an inconsistent season, they managed to finish 8th on the log with 41 points. This is the first time the team has reached the 40-point mark.
The most points that Bright Stars FC had collected in a single season was 38 coming on two occasions that is in 2017/18 and 2014/15 seasons.
Besides, the club also registered the highest number of goals scored in a season thanks to a 6-1 rout of Paidha Black Angels on the final day.
Fred Kajjoba’s charges scored 38 goals, 16 coming from skipper Nelson Ssenkatuka who finished second in the race for the top scorer’s gong behind Juma Balinya of Police FC with 19 goals.

Bright Stars FC started the season on a good note, first acquiring a team bus from sponsors Yoshino Trading Company.
Even on the pitch, the Mwererwe based outfit started well, winning their opening two games against Maroons FC and Nyamityobora FC.
The addition of Brian Kayanja seemed to have relieved Ssenkatuka the burden of scoring goals for the team at one time albeit getting limited playing time.
Dan Bilikwalira who arrived at Champions stadium on loan from Vipers SC has been vital for Bright Stars FC being the creative engine of the team despite being a left back.
The diminutive defender registered over ten assists and considering that he got injured along the season.
Augustine Kachancu, one of the unsung players on the team and in the league equally had a good contribution to Bright Stars FC performance.
However, despite improving offensively Fred Kajjoba’s charges this season have struggled in defence.
Besides, 2013/14 campaign when they conceded 35 goals, this is the season where Bright Stars FC have conceded as many as 30 goals.
Considering that the club reached the semifinals of Uganda Cup and still have a chance to advance to the final, it wouldn’t be an overstatement to say this is Bright Stars FC best campaign since getting promoted in 2013.
