The ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers Africa is set to kick off tomorrow at Lugogo and Kyambogo.
All the matches on Day One are derbies with the West African derby featuring Ghana and Nigeria early morning at Kyambogo while Namibia takes on Botswana in the South African derby in the morning at Lugogo and the match of the day will feature hosts Uganda against Kenya in the Migingo Derby.
The six teams will be competing for two slots as representatives for the African region at the global qualifiers against other regional winners later in the year in the United Arab Emirates.
Namibia comes into the tournament as favourites having just attained ODI status last month winning the Division 2 tournament that they hosted. They will face stiff competition from hosts Uganda and Kenya who have been at the big stage before.
However, given that this is T20 cricket, you can never rule out any shocks from Ghana, Nigeria and Botswana either.
The games will be played at Lugogo and Kyambogo starting at 9.30am in the morning and 2.00pm for the afternoon games.
Entrance is free for those that can make it for the games and action will run from May 19-24.
