A ten man Kigezi Home Boyz recovered from a goal down to overcome Nyamityobora 2-1 at the Kabale Municipal Stadium on Sunday, 18th April 2021.
This was during match day five of the Rwenzori group in the 2021 FUFA Big League.
Clinton Kamugisha gave Richard Makumbi’s coached Nyamityobora the lead in the first half.
Kigezi Home Boyz, a side coached by Mark Twinamasiko further suffered a set back with the red card of Robert Santos Baluku in the 58th minute for unsporting conduct.
The Gorrila boys had earlier missed two penalties from Bright Haguma and Dickson Niwamanya Kihanga.
A late come-back witnessed Norman Namanya and Niwamanya score for the home side to get maximum points.
The victory was Kigezi Home Boyz’s first in five matches which takes them to 5 points, same as newly promoted Luwero United.
Luwero United had a day earlier lost 1-0 to Proline at the MTN Omondi stadium in Lugogo.
Twinmatisko lauded the character of his players who remained composed despite having missed a penalty in the first half and also got a red card in the second half.

Water beat newcomers Terrazo and Tiles 2-1 at the Kavumba Recreational Stadium, Wakiso.
Tooro United leads the Rwenzori group with 12 points following their latest 3-1 home win against Ndejje University at the Buhinga Stadium in Fort Portal city.
Abdul Karim Kasule starred with a brace on the evening and Marvin Oshaba added the via a well struck penalty.
Vincent Abigaba netted the consolation for Ndejje University.
Edward Golola’s side now has 12 points, three ahead of second placed Proline.
In the Elgon group, Arua Hill remained top of the standings with a 1-0 home win, thanks to Allan Mugalu’s goal against new entrants Calvary at the Barifa Stadium in Arua city.
Mbale Heroes Football Club secured their first victory of the 2021 FUFA Big League season (Elgon group) with a 1-0 win away to Maroons at the Prisons stadium in Luzira.
Joel Male scored the solitary goal on the evening for the maximum points.
Paidha Black Angels remains win-less after yet another slip, losing 1-0 to Gaddafi at their own fortress (Bar Okoro stadium, Zombo).
Pacy winger James Otim scored Gaddafi’s only goal on the day.
Blacks Power fell at home, 1-0 to visiting Kataka from Mbale at the Emokori play ground in Bukedea.
The next round of matches in the FUFA Big League begin on Wednesday, 21st April 2021 and will spill over on the subsequent day.
This will be match day 6 of the league. On Wednesday, Kataka entertains Maroons at the Mbale Municipal Stadium and Nyamityobora will play host to Water at Kakyeka Stadium.
Then on Thursday, 22nd April 2021, Arua Hill plays Gaddafi in Arua city, Calvary shall entertain Paidha Black Angels at the Aba Bet Green Light stadium, Mbale Heroes host Blacks Power at the Mbale Municipal Stadium.
Luwero United will host Tooro United at the Kosovo ground, Kasaana in Luwero and Proline takes on Ndejje University at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
Promotion and Demotion:
Like the norm has been over the years, three clubs will be promoted to the 2021-22 Uganda Premier League.
Of these three, two earn direct berths from each of the groups (Rwenzori and Elgon).
The third club is determined via a promotional play-off.
Four clubs will be demoted to the respective regional leagues.
For the first time since the FUFA Big League inception, a game in every match day is televised live.
