The encounter between Busoga United FC and UPDF FC on Tuesday at the FUFA Technical Centre ended with no winner as the two sides settled for a goalless draw.

The game was characterized with physical contests and UPDF FC were forced into making two changes before the break.

Striker Dicken Okwir sustained a cut on his head and needed medical attention after an aerial duel with Shafik Kakeeto.

Despite insisting to play on, Okwir was substituted in the 15th minute and his place was taken by Alex Kitatta.

The other player that walked off after sustaining an injury was Ibrahim Wammanah, the captain of the day for the Army side.

The former KCCA FC midfielder pulled a hamstring and was replaced by Sam Kintu, four minutes to the break.

The best chance of the game fell to Ivan Wani who went through on goal but goalkeeper Eric Kibowa denied him with a finger tip save.

Isma Mugulusi was a thorn in the flesh for UPDF FC controlling proceeding in the midfield and always looked a threat whenever he moved forward.

On the other hand, it was Kitatta who had scoring opportunities for UPDF and nearly broke the deadlock in the 74th minute but his strike hit the upright.

The result takes UPDF FC to 6th place on 31 points while Busoga United FC remains static in 12th position on 24 points.
