Official Liverpool Supporters Club Uganda chapter has unveiled its new executive for the next two years.

The unveiling happened during the launch of the club’s 2021-22 season on Monday, August 23 at Fast Sports Fusion in Bugolobi.

The executive was elected on 10 July 2021 and will take charge until 2023.

Registered in 2013 and certified by Liverpool Football Club six years ago, Official Liverpool Supporters Club Uganda aspires to be the most vibrant LFC supporters club in Subsaharan Africa.

MacWilliams Edward Mponye, the new chairman of the club, says the UG-Kop will create an impact on the community.

“I come from a background of hardworking and my passion for Liverpool FC led me to want to serve this supporters club,” Mponye said.

“The current executive committee members will ensure the manifesto I presented during the campaigns is accomplished. Our theme was “creating a functioning system” and so far so good.

“With the ideas and projects that I have with the team behind me, Ug-Kop is going to be bigger and better and it’s going to reach more Kopites in Uganda and create an impact in the community,” he added.
