Tanzania top flight outfit Mtibwa Sugar Football Club has officially unvieled forward Brian Muluuli Mayanja on Monday, 17th January 2022.
Mayanja beefs up the Morogoro based club as one of the mid-season signings.
He signed a one and half year deal as a free agent following the mutual termination of his employment contract at Police Football Club.
The forward joins other signings as goalkeeper Jeremiah Kisubi, a player acquired on loan from Simba Sports Club as well as Congolese national Deo Kanda.
Mtibwa Sugar also brought Salum Shaaban Mayanga as head coach.
Muluuli is expeced to make his debut against giants Simba.
Muluuli became yet another Ugandan footballer to cross over to the Tanzania Premier League in the January 2022 window after Hamis Kiiza’s transfer to Kagera Sugar and forward Joel Oscar Madondo who joined second division entity Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) Football Club (to join another Ugandan, left back Shafik Batambuze).
There are a couple of other Ugandan footballers plying their trade in Tanzania.
Uganda Cranes roving right back Nicholas Wakiro Wadada is at Azam, midfielder Khalid Aucho at Young Africans and Tadeo Lwanga at Simba.
Jackson Kibirige is contracted at Kagera Sugar, goalkeeper Cleo Ssetubba is at Biashara Mara whilst coaches Mathias Lule and Joseph Kiwanuka are at Mbeya City.
