For starters, Peter Santos Aparer Chut was born on 5th February 2006 in the South Sudan town of Rumbek to Aparer Chut and Christina Nyanabyei.

Royal Giants Mityana striker Peter Santos Aparer Chut reported to the South Sudan U-20 national team in preparation for the upcoming AFCON U-20 tournament set for Egypt.

A towering forward, Chut was born in South Sudan but grew up in Uganda and he is currently a student at Royal Giants High School.

He joined the other players with a link from Uganda as midfielder Ochaya Okot Oywak Otim, goalkeeper Richard Anyama, Joseph Donato Okello and Francis Onekalit.

“I am happy to be part of the South Sudan U-20 provisional team. I want to keep working hard so that I make the final team” Chut noted.

Chut grew up in Uganda after the parents moved from South Sudan and has since acclimatized to the Ugandan setting.

He has virtually played his entire football career in Uganda and has been part of the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Soccer Academy for the period 2017 to 2019.

Chut uses both feet to perfection and he is known for his close ball control, vision, passing and shooting.

“As a player, I yearn to keep improving in all the aspects of the game. I want to be a complete player as I mature” he told Kawowo Sports in an earlier interview.

In Uganda, he studied at St James primary school Bbiina (P.1 -P.5), Clevers Origins (P7) before progressing to Answar High School – Kasangati (S1).

He then moved to Masaka Secondary School for S2 and S3 classes.

He completed his Ordinary Level of education at Royal Giant High School in Mityana, where is at the moment in Senior Six.

The initial provisional team had 51 players and currently training is underway in Juba city.South Sudan in group B alongside Uganda, Central African Republic and Congo.

Hosts Egypt are pooled in group A with Mozambique, Senegal and Nigeria.In group C, there is The Gambia, Tunisia, Benin and Zambia.
