2022 Masaza Cup final:

  • Saturday, 4th March 2023:
  • Final: Buddu Vs Busiro (3 PM)

2022 Bika Bya Baganda Sports Tournaments (Football & Netball):

Saturday, 11th March 2023:

  • Football Final: Lugave Vs Ndiga (3 PM)
  • Netball Final: Mmamba Gabunga Vs Nyonyi Nyange (1 PM)
  • Venue: Mutesa II Wankulukuku Stadium, Kabowa

The Kingdom of Buganda has officially communicated the dates and venue for the climax of the 2022 major sports tournaments: Masaza and Bika Bya Baganda.

The 2022 Masaza cup final between Buddu (defending champions) and Busiro will take place on Saturday, 4th March 2023 at the Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku in Kabowa.

A week, the Bika Bya Baganda football and netball final games will also be held at the same venue on Saturday, 11th March 2023.

Lugave will take on Ndiga in the Bika football finale whilst record winners Mmamba Gabunga will face Nyonyi Nyange in Netball.

Owek. Henry Moses Ssekabembe Kiberu, Buganda Kingdom minister of sports, leisure and recreation confirmed these developments during a press briefing at Bulange Mengo on Thursday, February 9, 2023.

“His Majesty the Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II is glad to grace the climax of the Masaza and Bika tournaments finals. The Masaza final will be on 4th March 2023 while the Bika Bya Baganda finals in football and netball will take place on 11th March 2023” Owek. Ssekabembe noted.

Flanked by Hajji Sulaiman Ssejjengo, the chairperson of the Masaza cup tournament organizing committee and Sulaiman Magala (chairperson of Bika organzing committee), Owek. Ssekabembe urged the Kingdom subjects to grace the climax of both tournaments at Mutesa II Wankulukuku.

Entry fees for the Masaza Cup finals are fixed at Shs 20,000 and Shs. 50,000 in general stands and VIP sections respectively.

The Bika tournament final entry charges are fixed at Shs. 10,000 /= (ordinary) and Shs 20,000 (VIP).

Players licensed from the previous season are all allowed to play in the 2022 Masaza Cup final.
