Gaddafi FC and SC Villa played out a one-all draw as they faced off on Saturday at Kakindu Stadium in Jinja.

Either side was playing their first game in the second round of the Uganda Premier League that resumed on Thursday this week.

The cagey and closely contested game failed to produce the desired spark until the second stanza.

Alex Kitata who formerly played for SC Villa broke the deadlock in the 67th minute headed at the far post to give the home side the the lead.

However, the lead lasted only a minute with the Jogoos replying instantly thanks to a neat finish by Joseph Kafumbe.

Tabu Oryem’s cross was brushed into Kafumbe’s path by Gaddafi defender and captain Bakali Magumba.

Kafumbe who was well stationed hit the ball instantly and found the back of the net to giving the visiting fans joy.

The result leaves SC Villa fifth on the table with 25 points from 15 games while Gaddafi on the other hand are seventh on 22 points.
