Overview:
Local tourism will be at the forefront as Uganda hosts the rest of Africa in the 2023 Arsenal fans' festival,
The Arsenal Uganda supporters’ club, fans of current English Premier League table leaders, Arsenal F.C, will host this year’s (2023) Arsenal Africa Fans annual Festival slated for next month (April).
The festival which will have Arsenal FC supporters from across the African continent is scheduled to take place from 7th to 10th April 2023.
This follows a confirmation by Connetie Ninaz Ayesiga, the Vice Chairperson of Arsenal Uganda, the Official Arsenal Supporters Club in Uganda.
Ms Ayesiga also doubles as the Chairperson of the Organizing Committee for the Arsenal Africa Fans Festival, 2023 edition.
The festival’s main goal is championing community change through sports which is always conducted in the host country while promoting local tourism. All traveling fans will participate in the charity event to cause change in the communities.
Connetie Ninaz Ayesiga, the Vice Chairperson of Arsenal Uganda,

“A member of the famous Invincible squad is expected to grace the occasion and it looks positive for us” Ayesiga added.
Ayesiga added that the festival is for all of Arsenal fans as she urged them to register and participate.
There will also be official photographers from Arsenal official to cover the event.
Ayesiga noted that the festival will see fans engage in charity activities among which there will be painting zebra crossings of key public schools on Ggaba Road as part of road safety campaigns in Kampala city.
There will also be cleaning up the Ggaba landing site and the women’s market as part of conserving the environment!
“We will close the charity with a medical camp! And thereafter show our football skills through the African arsenal fans trophy gala! Now, for us to pull this off, your support is highly appreciated and Arsenal FC fans across the country are called upon to contribute generously towards this cause,” Ms Ayesiga remarked.
Ms Ayesiga called upon Arsenal Supporters to record their Arsenal stories ‘where you take us back in memory of how you started supporting the club.’
The next day will see local and visiting fans explore our tourist spots in Kampala and Entebbe as part of our mission to promote local tourism.

Arsenal is by far the most supported football club in Africa and particularly Uganda with celebrity and big-name supporters like Bebe Cool, Mosh Ssendi, former AIGP Asani Kasingye among several others.
Arsenal is one of England’s most successful clubs after winning a record 14 FA Cups and is currently managed by Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners asserted themselves in the Premier League by winning three titles under Arsene Wenger between 1998 and 2004.
The last of those is the most memorable, as they went a season unbeaten to become the ‘Invincibles’ of English football, a team that featured the greatest footballer to play in England, Thierry Henry.
Arsenal has not won a Premier League title since then but is on course to end their 19-year wait this season.
They boast one of the most exciting teams in the world thanks to the talents of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, Emile Smith Rowe, Gabriel Martinelli and captain Martin Odegaard among others.
