Record Caf Champions League winners Al Ahly of Egypt swept away Sudan’s Al Hilal 3-0 at the Cairo International stadium to complete the quarter final list.
Second half substitute Hussein El-Shahat scored twice adding to a brilliant first-half goal from Mahmoud “Kahraba” Abdel-Moneim to join 2016 winners Mamelodi Sundowns as runners up from Group B.
Ahly finish second in Group B, behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, who collected 14 points from their six games.
Kahraba put the hosts in the lead after twenty four minutes when he controlled beautifully before slotting home.
El-Shahat extended the lead two minutes after coming on in the 63rd minute and sealed victory with another brilliant finish in the 83rd minute.
South African international linked with a move to English Premier League Burnley was the star of the show.
