Uganda Women will be the first team to run onto the pitch during round two of the World Rugby HSBC 7s Challenger 2024.
This will be at 5.30 p.m. EAT (11.30 a.m. local time ) on Friday night to play against Thailand. Their next match, against Mexico, will be at 10.20 p.m. EAT later that day. They will complete their pool phase at 5.37 p.m. EAT on Saturday evening against Argentina.
Uganda Women’s Pool Fixtures (all times in EAT):
- Friday 5.30 p.m.: Uganda vs Thailand
- Friday 10.20 p.m.: Uganda vs Mexico
- Saturday 5.37 p.m.: Argentina vs Uganda
Uganda Men, on the other hand, will play on the tail end of the fixture schedule. Their first match will be against Germany at 9.30 p.m. EAT on Friday night. They will return to action at 2.32 a.m. EAT on Saturday morning against Uruguay.
Their final pool match will be against Papua New Guinea at 9.08 p.m. EAT on Saturday night.
Uganda Men’s Pool Fixtures (all times in EAT):
- Friday 9.30 p.m.: Germany vs Uganda
- Saturday 2.32 a.m.: Uruguay vs Uganda
- Saturday 9.08 p.m.: Uganda vs Papua New Guinea
Due to the six-hour time difference between Uganda and Uruguay where it will be played, the tournament will stretch into the wee hours of Monday. Fans back home in Uganda watching the match will follow the three-day tournament over four days instead.
