KCCA’s eight match unbeaten sequence in the league came to halt and so did they faint title hopes with a 1-0 loss to bogey side URA.

Second substitute Bruno Bunyanga reacted fastest to score the winner in the 87th minute off a rebound from Said Kyeyune shot.

Defeat is KCCA’s first since a 1-0 loss to Kitara at Lugogo on February 23.

With only six points to fight for, KCCA now are mathematically out of the title race as they stay on 45 points and 5th on the table.

URA’s 10th win of the campaign puts them on 39 points and in 8th place.

The tax collectors’ next game is a trip to Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku again with SC Villa the hosts on May 14 while KCCA will play hosts to Wakiso Giants at Lugogo on the same day.

Elsewhere, NEC held champions Vipers to a goalless draw, BUL won it late against Gaddafi to stay top, Villa saw off UPDF 2-0, Kitara beat Busoga United 3-2 and Wakiso Giants beat 2-0 Mbarara City at Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium, Wakiso.
