Proline Football Club won the 2023-2024 Kampala regional league at the Mutesa II Wankulukuku stadium in Kabowa, Kampala city.

The former Uganda Premier League entity out-shot CATDA 7-6 in thrilling post-penalties.

Lethal forward Hudson Mbalire replied for CATDA with 15 minutes left on the mark.

Mbalire’s strike followed a defensive lapse between goalkeeper Musa Ssemakula and left back Sulaiman Mutyaba to spark wild celebrations from their active fans.

This was Mbalire’s 19th goal of the season to cement his goal scoring prowess.

The tense shoot-out had Proline emerge victorious 7-6 with Jerome Otim, Musa Mulindwa, skipper Kevin Obua, Paul Kirandha, Sulaiman Mutyaba, goalkeeper Musa Ssemakula and Morgan Mayende scoring for the winners.

Paul Nkuubi and Brian Mato missed their respective kicks.

For CATDA, Geoffrey Gagganga, Martin Kikambi, Faizal Senoga, Mike Kintu and Michael Abima were on target.

The trio of Bruno Mukasa, Denis Ola and Norman Odipio missed CATDA’s kicks.
