Besides girls’ football, the USSSA ball games one also have hockey, rugby 15’s, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Netball (U-16), Volleyball (U-16) and badminton. The top performers will represent the country at the regional (FEASSSA), continental and international competitions.
Sunday, May 11, 2025 shall witness the round of 16 stage and quarterfinals at the ongoing Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) ball games one in Bukedea, Kumi and Mbale districts.
Girls football, one of the sporting disciplines on the menu had the round of 32 games played.
Hosts Bukedea Comprehensive School were one of the biggest culprits not to progress to the next round after losing to Isingiro district’s Boni Consili Vocational School 1-0 at the Atutur primary school playground.

Favourites Kawempe Muslim and St Noa Girls Zana marched to the round of 16 with 6-0 and 2-0 wins over Bishop Comboni College and Jinja Progressive Academy respectively.
Co-host Amus College also recorded a 2-0 win over Mukono Kings High School.
Tororo Girls School bundled out Francis Ayume memorial school 2-0, the same scoreline that Sheema Girls had over Masaka SS.

Other results:
Jinja Comprehensive fell 0-1 to King of Kings, Bunya SS out-muscled Sacred Heart Ss Gulu 4-1 as Lugazi Homestone lost 0-1 to Nkoma SS.
Uganda Martyrs won 1-0 over Moyo Star S.S as Shammah High edged Lammenais College 2-1.
St Charles Lwanga K lost 0-2 to Rines SS, Jinja SS out-smarted Nyabubare 2-0 and Bugisu High School beat Restore Leadership 2-1.
Two games were decided by post-match penalty shoot-out.
Hopeful Future out-scored Latifah Mixed 5-4 in post-match penalties after normal time had ended 1-goal apiece.
Wakiso district representatives Standard High School Zzana also won via penalties 4-3 over Restore Leadership with normal time having ended 1-all.
Heavy rains on Saturday evening disrupted the smooth flow of the round of 16 matches which will be completed by Sunday morning.
The quarter finals will also be played on Sunday ahead of Monday’s semi-final showdown.
The official climax will come on 13th May 2025 with the closing ceremony.
