Nigeria’s Super Eagles will climax their preparations for the upcoming African Nations Championship in Kigali, Rwanda.

According to reports, the team will have a friendly game against Rwanda Premier League Champions APR on the 29th of July at the Amahoro Stadium.

The game forms part of the comprehensive preparations Nigeria has had ahead of the CHAN.

It should be noted that Nigeria is placed in Group D alongisde defending Champions Senegal, Sudan and Congo.

Nigeria’s opening two group games against Senegal and Sudan will be played at the Amman Stadium on Zanzibar Island, before they wrap up group play against Congo at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

On the other hand, APR are fine-tuning ahead of the new season but most importantly, the CAF Champions League that starts in September.

Nigeria’s target at CHAN is to perform well under the guidance of coach Eric Sekou Chelle.

The best performance for Nigeria at CHAN came in 2018 when they finished as runners-up behind eventual winners Morocco.

Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania will co-host the 2024 edition between 2nd- 30th August.
