Regina Lunyolo

Regina Lunyolo, a vastly experienced sports administrator earned the Future Female leader in sport scholarship in Switzerland.

A former Rugby player-cum-coach now turned administrator becomes the first Ugandan to earn such a scholarship established in 2011 by the June Canavan Foundation.

Lunyolo is humbled for the presented opportunity as she appeals to well-wishers to help contribute part of the needed tuition fees for the 15-month AISTS Master of Advanced studies in sports administration and technology.

“I am super excited having got this scholarship.” She exclaimed. “I humbly appeal for support to complete my tuition since the fees are cost-shared. I am appealing to our sports bodies to support me since it will not only benefit me, but also the entire country” she added.

For starters, June Canavan, graduated from AISTS in 2006. She tragically lost her life in a plane crash in 2009 while en route to the Kokoda Track.

In honour of June’s memory, the AISTS re-established the scholarship 2 years ago with the unchanged aim of awarding one women each year who demonstrates a commitment to ethical leadership in sport.
