  • BUL vs Maroons – 4pm
  • NEC vs Express FC – 7pm

Back-to-back winners BUL will begin defence of their Fufa Super 8 trophy with a tie against Maroons at Hamz stadium, Nakivubo on Thursday.

The Jinja based side will aim at establishing a first leg advantage against the Prison side who have a new tactician Umar Abdallah Loi in the dugout although Muhammad Ssenfuma is also available in the dugout.

BUL will be without suspended head coach Abbey Kikomeko leaving Simeon Masaba in charge.

“We are ready and want to defend this trophy,” said Masaba. “Some of the new players will feature but some are not yet to the required standard in terms of fitness,” he added.

In the second game of the day, CAF Confederation Cup bound NEC take on Express FC who replaced league champions Vipers in the competition.

Hussein Mbalangu’s men will be favourites against the 7-time league winners who have lost several players in the transfer window so far and expect so many new faces in the Red Eagles team on the day.
