  • Vipers vs Iganga United – St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende – 8 pm

Holders Vipers and one-time winners Kitara eye quarterfinal spots when they host Iganga United and Bunyaruguru in the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 16.

The two Premier League sides are favourites heading into their games as they aim to keep hopes of clinching the league and cup double alive.

The Venoms, current holders of both trophies, eliminated Pajule Lions 6-0 in the recent round at the same venue and will hope Usama Arafat and Karim Watambala maintain their goal-scoring form on the day.

Meanwhile, Kitara, who got past fellow Premier League side Entebbe UPPC in the Round of 32, return to Butema Royal Park after they hosted their last league match at the new Hoima City stadium.

On Tuesday, KCCA and NEC joined lower-tier side Happy Boys Kagaba in the quarterfinals following comprehensive triumphs over Lugazi and Onduparaka, respectively.
