Overview:
Uganda National Corporate Tournaments (UNCT) is a nationwide corporate football project designed to promote health, networking, tourism, collective social responsibility, and business relationships among the different professionals.

UNCT brings together employees from various companies and institutions to compete in a friendly but well-structured football environment.
This tournament is held on a bi-monthly basis, ensuring consistent engagement while accommodating professional schedules.
It is played in a small-sided, quarter-pitch format, strictly for participants aged 30 years and above under the slogan “Many Regions, One Corporate Tournament”.

Only non-licensed players (no FUFA license for at least two years) are allowed to feature which ensuring fairness and preserving the recreational corporate spirit.
The Albertine region has already hosted a successful UNCT gala this year whose target was to fund a wash project at the Masindi main hospital in a bid to improve personal hygiene.
This was the second outing of the year after the opening one in Busia.

Top performers:
From the Albertine region, Kumi Corporates Club won the overall ahead of Macro Hardware (Kabale) and Tororo Medical Wokers.
The MVPs were Godfrey Ayiko and Esther Naluyimba from Kumi Corporate Club and JT Police respectively.
Tororo Medical Workers had the best goalkeeper in Hadija Nalongo whilst Ignatius Majwega of St Peter’s Corporate Club in Fort Portal was top scorer with 9 goals.
Merit Nursery school Masindi earned the fair play accolade.

Kitgum knocking:
Kitgum district in Northern will host the next outing this June.
This will offer ring a unique opportunity for corporate teams to engage in competition while experiencing the culture and hospitality of Northern Uganda.

National Structure & Inclusivity:
The tournament rotates across Uganda’s six regions; Bukedi, Albertine, Northern, Elgon, Western and Central.
Benefits:
This model promotes equal participation opportunities, boosts domestic tourism and regional exposure, fosters national unity and cohesion.
Governance Structure:
The UNCT Executive Committee has a national coordinating body elected by a National Council (2 representatives per corporate team). Members serve 2-year terms, renewable once (to make it a maximum of 2 terms).
This structure assists in standardizing tournament guidelines, coordinating national calendars, promoting fairness, transparency, and professionalism, linking regional organizers, sponsors, and stakeholders; supporting training and capacity building.

Board of Directors:
The board of directors has 7distinguished professionals, appointed by the Executive Committee.
Some of these include Eng. Joram Bwambale, Oscar Rwigyema, Uthman Masha and Moses Nkunda Tumuheki.
Engineer Bwambale is the CEO Macro Hardware, Rwigyema is CEO Ballon Ventures, Uthman is Director of Total Energies (Soroti) and Tumuheki is CEO Zion Mircofinance Limited and the CEO MT Records.
They are to provide strategic oversight, advocacy, and leadership.
For starters, the UNCT is dwelt along the core values of unity & harmony, professionalism, inclusivity, collaboration & partnership, respect & sportsmanship.
The strategic purpose is to have a unified voice when engaging corporate and football stakeholders.
